Follow Your Instincts

In Cut and Paste on October 27, 2007 at 6:13 pm

An important principle in my life is to always follow my instincts. Trusting a stranger, telling the truth, even though it hurts, and trying to be true to myself are some of the consequences of this principle.

Although trust, truth and being oneself have been the subject of many books, articles and discussions over the ages, I am sad to notice how difficult it still is for most of us to find some trust, get appreciation for telling the truth and be accepted for who we really are.

Developing a Design

Lot’s of people would like to create their personal stamp. TNT Post made it possible to order a set of stamps with a picture or drawing of your choice. Two days later you can send your friend an old-fashioned letter with a not so old-fashioned stamp. This fun and commercial approach of companies to make products fit the need of their consumers more and more is a typical trend of today.

If you’re not interested in spending money you can always just design a stamp and hope it becomes the new stamp of next year. All techniques are allowed but the subject needs to be ‘Love’. After a jury has selected the best designs, everybody is invited to check out the chosen ones and pick their favorite. The design with the most votes will make it’s creator famous on cm2.

Sweating while developing a worthy design I hereby display my first attempt.
